Whitey Bulger
Whitey Bulger, 89 and in a wheelchair, died at the Hazelton federal penitentiary in West Virginia on the morning after he was transferred there in late October 2018. Bureau of Prisons employees told HuffPost that other people held at the facility fatally beat him. News outlets have reported that another man is among those suspected in his death. Staff told HuffPost that he should not have been sent to Hazelton, and they blamed understaffing at the prison.
