A man believed to be from Texas died while held at the Madison County Detention Center in Richmond, Kentucky. He was found dead in his cell during routine checks early on Monday, July 3, 2023. Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison said the cause and manner of death are pending, and the body was sent to the Medical Examiner's Office in Frankfort. The coroner's office was working to notify his next of kin.
