A 16-year-old girl died by suicide in March 2017 while held at the Ware Youth Center, a juvenile detention facility in Red River Parish, Louisiana. A Louisiana inspector general report lists her death as a suicide. According to that report, a Department of Child & Family Services investigation found no failures by the facility, a finding the agency itself made.
