A man held in the custody of the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office in Louisiana was taken to a hospital on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, for treatment of a pre-existing medical condition. The sheriff's office said he was pronounced dead there on the morning of Wednesday, April 23.
