A man in his late 60s died at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center on November 27, 2025. The Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office said a deputy doing security checks around 4 a.m. found him in the intake booking area, and that he was pronounced dead at the scene. The Jefferson Parish Coroner's Office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. The sheriff's office said it does not suspect foul play.
