A man died on April 11, 2021, while held at the Public Safety Building in Danville, Illinois. The Vermilion County Sheriff's Department said a correctional officer found him unresponsive in his cell during a routine check. The Illinois State Police were contacted to investigate his death. The Vermilion County Coroner has identified him.
