A 34-year-old man died on September 29, 2024, at a hospital after being found unresponsive with wounds at the Massachusetts Treatment Center in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. He was taken by ambulance to a local hospital and pronounced dead there. The state Executive Office of Public Safety and Security said a preliminary investigation indicated another incarcerated person beat him with a closed fist, and the Department of Correction said the same.
