A 34-year-old man died on September 29, 2024, after being found unresponsive with wounds at the Massachusetts Treatment Center in Bridgewater, Massachusetts. Staff gave medical aid and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The Department of Correction said another incarcerated person was allegedly involved in an assault with a closed fist, and officials said the wounds may have come from a possible assault.
