A person held in the Ozark jail in Franklin County, Arkansas, was taken out by a mob of masked men and hanged, according to a special dispatch from Little Rock reported in the Galveston News and reprinted in The Donaldsonville Chief in August 1874. The dispatch is the only source given, and it places the killing in Ozark without a date.
