A woman held at the Johnson County Detention Center in Kansas was found unresponsive in her cell on Friday, November 30, 2018, according to the Johnson County Sheriff's Office. The sheriff's office said staff tried to revive her, but she died. She had been held at the jail since the day before and was housed alone. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation and the sheriff's office are investigating her death.
