A man, whose name had not been released, died on August 20, 2011, after being stabbed outside the mess hall at Hays State Prison in Trion, Georgia, around 4:45 a.m. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation said he was preliminarily believed to have died from stab wounds and that more than one person may have attacked him. An autopsy was scheduled, and its results were still pending at the time of reporting.
