A man was found unresponsive in his cell at the Clinton County Jail in Clinton, Iowa, on December 28, 2025, and was taken to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City, where he was pronounced dead on December 30. The Clinton County Sheriff's Office has not released his name, saying it is waiting to notify his family. The sheriff's office has not stated a cause of death.
