A person died in June 2018 while held at the Middlesex County Jail in Billerica, Massachusetts. County officials said the death was a suicide. WGBH reported that it was one of three suicides at the jail in two years. Officials said the jail has since added a suicide prevention hotline message to incoming and outgoing phone calls.
