This man's name is not recorded, but he was the half brother of Jim Denson, a Black man. On January 5, 1901, a mob took him from the jail at Madison, Florida, and lynched him along with Denson. It is not recorded whether the jailer or sheriff resisted the mob or handed over the keys. The only known account is a brief report in The Citizen, published January 10, 1901.
