A Black person held in the jail at Russellville, Kentucky, was taken out by a mob and hanged, as reported in August 1908. Their name, age and sex have not been recorded. The mob took them from the jail, where they were being held when they were killed. Whether jail officers resisted the mob, gave up the keys or handed the person over is not recorded.
