This person was one of five people of Italian origin whom a mob took from the jail in Tallulah, Louisiana, and hanged, according to a report published in December 1899. The mob seized them from the jail where they were held. State authorities and a representative of the Italian Embassy investigated the killings and reached different findings, particularly over whether the victims were Italian citizens. A federal investigation was still in progress when the report was published.
