A man held at the jail in Hamilton, Montana, was taken from it by a mob on the night of October 13, 1903, according to a telegraphic report published in the Alexandria Gazette the following day. The mob killed him by lynching.
Cause of death, as reported: Taken from custody and lynched. A telegraphic report in the Alexandria Gazette says a mob took the man from the Hamilton jail and lynched him.
