A 45-year-old man died on April 1, 2026, at the Western Tidewater Regional Jail in northern Suffolk, Virginia, according to a release from the jail. The jail said an officer found him having a medical emergency in a security housing unit early that morning. His name has not been released while next of kin are notified.
