A man died on Oct. 10, 2016, after a medical emergency at Kinross Correctional Facility in Michigan. Activists with Michigan Prison Abolition said medical staff took about 15 minutes to reach him.
Cause of death, as reported: Died of illness (neglect alleged). Michigan Prison Abolition says medical staff took about 15 minutes to arrive, while the Michigan Department of Corrections says staff raced in to give aid.
