A man whose name the Memphis Daily Appeal did not report was held in the jail at Blandville, Kentucky. On the night of Sunday, November 10, 1872, a group of citizens took him from the jail and hanged him. The Memphis Daily Appeal reported the killing two days later, on November 12, 1872.
