A person held at Coffee Correctional Facility, a state prison in Nicholls, Georgia, run by CoreCivic, died in early 2022. The record I was given does not name them or give their age or cause of death. It is one of four deaths at the facility within several weeks, which CoreCivic said were unrelated. The Georgia Department of Corrections and CoreCivic are investigating, and the manner of death is still pending.
