Tony Davis, 66, was held at the Harris County Jail in Houston for about two weeks before his death. According to the Harris County Sheriff's Office, he was taken to a local hospital, returned to the jail, and collapsed inside the facility. He was pronounced dead at 7:44 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2025, by Houston Fire Department personnel. The Texas Rangers are investigating the death.
