Roderick Hayes
Roderick Hayes died on May 25, 2022, at Augusta State Medical Prison in Augusta, Georgia, after he was stabbed in another prisoner's cell. According to arrest warrants reported by The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in 2024, a correctional officer let Hayes and two other prisoners into that cell. The prisoner whose cell it was has described the stabbing as self-defense, and that account is disputed by the warrants.
