Ray “Jeff” Cromartie

Ray Jefferson Cromartie, 52, was executed by lethal injection on the night of Wednesday, November 13, 2019, at the Georgia Diagnostic and Classification Prison in Jackson. The Georgia Department of Corrections records the execution as the cause of his death. He had been held at the prison before he was put to death. The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported that his stepbrother, Eric Major, who was in Birmingham, Alabama, could not stop thinking about him that night.
