Nathan Carman
Nathan Carman, 29, of Vernon, died while held pretrial at the Cheshire County Jail in Keene, New Hampshire. A spokesman for the New Hampshire Attorney General said the Chief Medical Examiner and Keene police were investigating, that an autopsy had been performed, and that the death was not considered suspicious. Vermont News First reported that he had reportedly taken his own life, and a later account in the Bennington Banner also described the death as a suicide in his cell in June 2022. Federal prosecutors moved to end the case after the U.S. Marshals Service notified them of his death.
