Miguel Angel Paredes
Miguel Angel Paredes was 32 years old when Texas executed him by lethal injection at the Huntsville Unit on October 28, 2014. The Texas Department of Criminal Justice said he was given a lethal dose of pentobarbital and was pronounced dead at 6:54 p.m. Before his execution, he told the victim's family that he hoped they would let go of their hate, and he said he was at peace. His lawyer argued that his earlier attorney had not properly investigated his mental health history, and the U.S. Supreme Court denied his final appeal that day.
