Margaret "Sis" Vinegar
Margaret "Sis" Vinegar was the daughter of Pete Vinegar, whose lynching the community has acknowledged, according to the Equal Justice Initiative. The Equal Justice Initiative says she was imprisoned and died in custody shortly after her arrest. The same account also records the lynching of her father and two other Black men.
