Malek Moore
Malek Moore was held at Tabor Correctional Institution in North Carolina, where, according to the state Department of Public Safety, he was found unresponsive in his cell early on December 30, 2021. He was pronounced dead at 4:56 a.m. that morning. The department says it is cooperating with a law enforcement investigation and conducting its own review, and the manner of his death has not yet been determined.
