Julian Pagan
Julian Pagan was 29. His attorney said he was alert and engaged in court hours before his death, and that she saw no sign of a medical emergency then. After learning he would be taken back into custody, he spoke with his father, who told him to "hang in there" and that he loved him. On September 25, 2026, Julian was found unresponsive in a holding cell in the Bronx shortly before 6 p.m., was given medical aid, and was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:37 p.m. The Department of Correction said it will investigate the death with city and state authorities.
