Joseph Hamilton
Joseph Hamilton, 36, died on June 4, 2024, at Federal Correctional Institution Edgefield in Edgefield, South Carolina. The Department of Justice and federal court documents say he died from a stabbing during a conflict with another person held at the prison, and he was taken to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Federal prosecutors have charged that other person with second-degree murder in his death. According to court documents, the dispute began outside the prison and carried over into the facility.
