Died in prison
Johnny Carlos Tinker
Johnny Carlos Tinker, 59, was found dead in his cell at the Oregon State Penitentiary in Salem on the morning of June 6, 2016, according to the Oregon Department of Corrections. The department said staff responded at about 7:35 a.m. and medical staff determined he had died. The Oregon State Police Criminal Investigation Unit is investigating, as it does with all unanticipated deaths in state prisons.
