Jesse James died on October 19, 2023 at Elmira Correctional Facility, in the custody of the New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision. Jesse James was 25 years old. The New York Attorney General's Office of Special Investigation, which reviews deaths in which an officer may have played a part, was notified of the death and lists it as a medical death.
