Janet Denise Hartman
Janet D. Hartman, 44, became ill while held at the Angelina County Jail in Texas on May 13, 2018. According to the Angelina County Sheriff's office, jail and nursing staff attended to her until paramedics arrived, and she was taken by ambulance to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead. The sheriff said an outside agency would investigate and an autopsy had been ordered, with the cause and manner of death still pending. The Texas Attorney General's custodial death report lists her death at the jail on that date.
