Jamie Witherspoon
Jamie Marcus Witherspoon, 34, of Tuscaloosa, died on May 15, 2017, after he was stabbed in a dormitory at Bibb Correctional Facility in Brent, Alabama. According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, the stabbing happened during a fight with another man around 11 a.m. that Monday, and Witherspoon was pronounced dead at a hospital at 11:47 a.m. Another man was also stabbed in the fight and survived. Corrections officials identified a 28-year-old man held at the facility as the person who stabbed Witherspoon.
