James Barber
James Barber, 64, told his family he loved them, and his brother Glen Barber witnessed his execution. In a final statement he wrote of finding faith. The Alabama Department of Corrections said the state executed him by lethal injection at Holman Correctional Facility in Atmore on July 21, 2023. The U.S. Supreme Court declined, by a 6-3 vote, to stop the execution.
