Jackie Lovett
Jackie Lovett, 71, was held at Sussex Correctional Institution in Georgetown, Delaware, and had underlying health conditions. He tested positive for COVID-19 in early July 2021 and was treated at the Department of Correction's COVID-19 treatment center at Vaughn Correctional Center before being taken to Bayhealth on July 14 as his symptoms developed. The Department of Correction said he died on October 20, 2021, from complications of hypothyroidism and COVID-19, and said his family took part in decisions about his treatment at the hospital.
