J. T. Bruce
John Taylor, also recorded as J. T. Bruce, was held in the jail at Dardanelle, Arkansas. According to a Little Rock press dispatch printed in the Savannah Morning News, armed men broke into the jail around midnight on Saturday, September 10, 1881, took him out and hanged him from a tree. The dispatch says he struggled before he died.
