George Washington
George Washington, who is Black, was held in the jail in Stewart County, Ohio. A July 29, 1880 report in the Brenham Weekly Banner says a masked mob took George Washington from the jail and hanged them. The report names no one else involved, and the account of the death comes only from that newspaper.
