Felipe Sala
Felipe Sala was held in the jail at Canon City, Colorado. A news dispatch datelined Canon City says that on the night of July 21, 1876, a party of citizens forced the jail and hanged him. One account says the sheriff and jailers did not resist the crowd, and it makes no mention of them giving up the keys or handing him over. The dispatch says everyone approved of the act.
