Evan Lee
Evan Lee was 31, and his mother, Jacilet Griffin, speaks of him as her son. She says he called her from the Harris County Jail asking her to get him out. He was found unresponsive in his cell at the jail and was hospitalized on life support, and Houston Public Media reported that his death followed an altercation with jail staff. The Harris County Medical Examiner's Office ruled his death a homicide. His mother says she still does not know what happened inside the jail before he was hospitalized.
