Emmanuel Sullivan
Emmanuel Sullivan, a 21-year-old Black man, died on May 28, 2022, while in the custody of the New York City Department of Correction in Bronx County, New York. The New York Attorney General's Office of Special Investigation, which reviews deaths in which an officer may have played a part, lists his death as an overdose. A New York Daily News report from July 2022 said correction sources described it as an overdose, while the official cause of death was still pending at that time.
