Doo Posey
Doo Posey was being held in a jail in Dalton, Georgia, when a band of masked men in robes took him from the jail and hanged him. The Atlanta Semi-Weekly Journal reported the killing in December 1912 and placed it about five years before that report. The account describes the hanging as the act of a mob that came for him at the jail.
