Dick Allen
Dick Allen, a Black man, was held in a jail when a mob took him out and hanged him from a tree in the courthouse yard, according to a February 1898 report in the Semi-Weekly Interior Journal. The report gives no date for the killing beyond the publication date, and the town name is garbled in the OCR text.
