Died in jail or a lockup
David T. Nelson
David T. Nelson was held in the Varner jail in Arkansas when, on November 13, 1893, a mob broke into the jail, took him out, shot him many times and tried to burn his body, according to newspaper accounts from 1893 and 1894.
