David Sanders
David Sanders, 41, was held at Elmore Correctional Facility in Alabama when he was badly beaten in a dormitory on February 16, 2017. He was flown to a hospital in Montgomery, where he died on February 18. The Alabama Department of Corrections said it is investigating his death as a homicide and that four people held at the prison are suspected. Some accounts gave the facility as Staton Correctional Facility, and prison officials said the incidents at Staton and Elmore were unrelated.
