Cody Joe Leger
Cody Joe Leger, 43, of Jennings, died in his cell at the Jeff Davis Parish jail on April 3, 2022, after going into distress that Sunday afternoon. Chief Deputy Christopher Ivey of the Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff's Office said his death is believed to be related to his medical conditions. He was pronounced dead at a hospital emergency room, and the sheriff's office and the Jeff Davis coroner are investigating, with an autopsy scheduled.
