Chase Mathis
Chase Mathis died in June 2024 while held at Elmore Correctional Facility in Alabama. His father, Tim Mathis, told state lawmakers that the warden called to say his son was dead but would not say where his body was. In a later account to lawmakers, Tim Mathis said Chase was killed in the prison and said he is angry that nothing has changed.
