Chase
Chase was the son of Tim Mathis. Speaking at a protest outside St. Clair Correctional Facility, Mathis said Chase was killed while held at Elmore Correctional Facility in June 2024. He said he now speaks without fear of retaliation because he has no one left for the system to take from him.
Cause of death, as reported: Cause not yet determined. Tim Mathis, Chase's father, says his son was murdered at Elmore Correctional Facility in June 2024, but he does not say who killed him or how.
