Blaine Allen Frerichs
Blaine Allen Frerichs, a 22-year-old man from Bartley, died while held at the Red Willow County Detention Center in McCook, Nebraska. The Red Willow County Sheriff's Office said there was no initial indication of trauma, self-imposed or otherwise, and an autopsy has been ordered. KETV reported that he died in his cell on January 14, 2026, while the sheriff's office gave January 13 as the date of death. The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the circumstances, and the cause of death has not been determined.
