Billy Ray Jones
Billy Ray Jones, 30, died on January 5, 2021, while held at the East Arkansas Regional Unit, a state prison in Lee County, Arkansas. The Arkansas Department of Correction's release said he was found hanging in his single-person cell and that the death appears to be a suicide. Staff and medical personnel were said to have been unable to detect a pulse, and he was pronounced dead early that Tuesday morning. State police are investigating, and the Department of Correction is conducting its own internal review.
